Plastic Bee Escape with 16 outputs, round
A round plastic bee escape 16-way, with a diameter of 25 cm is used to removing of the bees of the supers before honey harvesting. The escape is inserted at least one evening, but preferably one day before the honey is extracted, between the super and the brood chamber. The bees leave the super through the openings in the escape and do not return. No bees remain in the super, or only a minimum of bees that need to be swept. The escape is fixed to a wooden frame covered with hardboard, with an opening according to the type of the ecape. This ecape is easily dismantled and therefore the frame can be used without escape e.g. also as a mat for feeding bees with a 4 liter cup. It is important that the frame is so high that there is at least 25 mm left between the breeding frames and the escape so that the bees have somewhere to stay and not crush each other.
